Inpatient detox requires you to stay at a facility 24 hours a day. Outpatient detox provides the same physician-supervised medical care, monitoring, medication, clinical support, but you attend daily appointments of approximately one hour and return home afterward. Yes, and that's by design. Most patients continue working full schedules throughout their detox. You come in for one hour each day, receive your care, and go about your normal routine. We work with you to schedule your appointment at a time that minimizes disruption to your workday.
Our program treats withdrawal from alcohol, opioids (including heroin and fentanyl), benzodiazepines, prescription stimulants, cocaine, cannabis, and codeine. Each patient is evaluated individually, and a treatment plan is built around the specific substance and their medical history. Not every substance or situation is appropriate for outpatient care, our physician will be upfront about whether our program is the right fit.
MAT uses FDA-approved medications such as Suboxone, Vivitrol, or Naltrexone to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings during detox. Not every patient requires MAT, your physician determines this during your initial evaluation based on the substance, severity of dependence, and your individual health. Program length depends on the substance, duration of use, and your individual health. Most patients complete detox within several days to a few weeks.
